Had to wire it in on my F650 dump truck. Clarity as I had a previous switch fail that appeared to be similar to this one minus the spring arm. This one I mounted in a different location than the previous switch. I mounted this to the cab of the truck and left the arm pointing towards the dump body.

The brake light switch (left side of steering column) goes to the turn signal switch.I may be wrong (fuzzy memory), but I think that on a signal stat switch, the Black/gray wire is the brake light switch. The solid black is the out to the left signal/brake light, and the solid gray is for the right signal/brake light.
